Class – February 27, 2018 – 5 Count Passing Drill

Guro Lem, Ryan, Shane, and Dan

Perspective students: Justin and Andrew

Tonight, we went over 5 count passing drill. Using the left hand as the passing/tapping hand while cutting with the right hand. Emphasized cutting like a scissor but not crossing the hands. The drill was practiced in level 2 range but for the advanced students they practiced it in level 3 range. Most of the guys didn’t move back so it was nice to see that they stayed grounded and not retreating back when doing this drill. Alternated feeds so both sides fed count 1, then count 2, and so on until finishing the drill. Later, we alternated counts where feeder 1 only attacked with odds, and feeder 2 only attacked with evens. Nice class tonight!
