We had a great time with Tuhon Carl and Silak Dianne on Saturday learning AK trapo set 1 and the AK trapo hit set.
Special recognition goes to Guro Ervin, Simo Eloy, and Mike D. who made the trip up from VA Beach to attend the seminar!
Each class was spent drilling AK knife tapping and the hit set followed by free flow, including two-on-one and three-on-one mass attack.
In attendance: Joe, David, Michael, Devlin, Phil, Martin, Ryan, Bob, Mark, Aaron, and Miguel and Alfred from the NOVA training group. We continued working on AK knife material, moving into tapping and the hit set.
In attendance: David, Michael F., Mosi, Phil, Brian, Martin, Ryan, Frank, Bob, Lem and Aaron. We continued to work on AK knife material, moving on to tapping (without clears).
We began to work on the basic AK knife curriculum, starting with the knife evolution 1 targeting chain and moving on to the finger cut set and the redirect set. It was great having Guro Joe M. in town to help refine the details of the drill.
The first Atiena Kali Sama Sama was held this weekend up in the Poconos, covering AK sword, knife, stick and more. Highlights included the AK Gauntlet (running, climbing, shooting, archery, machete and knife throwing, and mass attack) and the Combat Archery competitions.
Mike Q. attended as did Guro Ervin Quintin and Simo Eloy Quintin from Virginia Beach. We all had such a good time that we hardly noticed all of the wind and rain. ;)
