A Johns Hopkins University student confronted and killed a suspected burglar with a katana, early in the AM of September 15.The student claims that he had backed up against a wall and yelled for help when the presumed burglar lunged at him. The student inflicted a chest wound and also nearly severed the intruder’s wrist.

Kick Cancer Exhibition – March 28, 2009
We were invited to participate in a fund-raising martial arts exhibition, but without much time to prepare in advance, we had to more or less “wing it”! Lem, Joe, David, Frank, Shane and Josh all rose to the challenge and did a great job demonstrating a variety of knife, stick and long blade techniques!
Multiple local stabbings within the past week
Last week, a 62-year-old man, a former Marine who had received two Purple Hearts, was stabbed to death in his home last week.One 16-year-old stabbed another outside of a West Baltimore high school during and after-school fight on February 11.A 23-year-old man was fatally stabbed by a group of males in South Baltimore last night.And earlier today, an unidentified person was stabbed multiple times while riding a MTA bus in North Baltimore.
Man stabbed at gas station
A 46-year-old man was stabbed in his lower left torso early on December 30 during an argument at a BP gas station.
Postal worker stabbed on the job
A 31-year-old woman was stabbed while delivering mail in Rockville. She was last reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Good samaritan stabbed in Severn
A 46-year-old trucker pulled over when he saw a man and woman fighting. When he tried to intervene, he was stabbed 10 times in the head, face, neck, chest and back.
