Class Notes – Aug 25th, 2015 TD1 – No Contact

Instructing: Guro Joe M, Guro Joe C, and Guro Lem

Attendance: Asim, Bob, Ryan, Sid, Brian, Lance, and Alex

Notes:

Started class with salutation. We continued learning the isolations for no contact for TD1. We tried playing the King of the Hill again after getting more reps in TD1, but this time we tried changing some parameters. We made feeders work with only one or two hits to remain on the top. If the feeder didn’t get a good contact, he would be bumped off and the next person would be the new King of the Hill.

Class Notes – Aug 18, 2015 – TD1 – No Contact

Instructing – Guro Joe C & Guro Lem

Attendance – Dan, Bob, Ryan, Asim, and Alex

We continued working on TD1 – no contact isolation. Worked up to count 7. We switched partners and worked with different energies to see how the entry would change depending on size of the partner. After getting some reps, we decided to play a game “king of the hill”. We had the feeder stand as, king of the hill, while receivers were challenging. From a ready-stance with blades at there side, feeders would attack as receivers would tap. If the receiver lasted longer than five seconds, then he would be the new, king of the hill.

Ended with salutation.

Great class tonight!

Attendance: Dan, Bob, Ryan, Bryan, Lance, and James

Notes:

DSC_0178Began class with salutation. We had students review TD1 to get the flow down smoothly. Some of the other students also reviewed last week’s subset – power assist. After getting more reps with this drill, we added a modifier to the drill. We set up three chairs. We started with Receivers sitting on the chair and Feeders standing. After the drill was done, we had the guys who were sitting in the chair feed the drill. We rotated positions until everyone had a chance to feed and receive on the chair. Ended class with salutation.
